Looking for a book on Alan Eagleson. Can't remember the title.
Could be Net Worth by David Cruise.
There's also a decent account of it in Money Players by Bruce Dowbiggin. Good read.
perhaps it's the book "money players" or "Game Misconduct: Alan Eagleson and the Corruption of Hockey" by Conway.
Are there any books out there that give a summary or history of every Stanley Cup Final? Kind of like how The Ultimate Super Bowl Book covers each super bowl? I'm looking for something that covers the history of the game over the years, particularly with the championship teams.
Net worth is a very good book. YOu may be thinking of that. It talks about the rise and fall of Alan Eagleson and the NHLPA..
Coach told my son he might make him captain of his peewee team this year. I'd love to find a book or two for him written by or about players who were great captains to get him thinking about the role and how to aspire to play it well. Any ideas?
The Game, by Ken Dryden. Surely a "Classic"? MCB
Was trying to find a series of books I read as a kid back in the late 70s or early 80s. Was about a player trying to make it on to the st. Louis blues and followed him to the Stanley cup finals f memory serves. Anyone remember those?
Ken Dryden's The Game not on the classic list??
Im trying to find a book I read in the 70s it is a fictional story about a young guy that gets a shot at hockey with the Rangers and playing in Madison Square Garden its been driving me crazy for years trying to remember the name.
